Food is nothing without the magic of its makers and the people that love it. After close to three decades of growing a hospitality brand from the ground up, we have the experience, knowledge, and resources you need to open a franchise business and run an easily accessible and easy-to-set-up gastrobar to call yours.
SOUL Society’s restaurants are bound by a common vision: combining good food, good value, and good service to share across generations and locales. Since 1996, we’ve stayed true to our legacy of building communities, careers, and cultural resonance. As we march on into the exciting unknown of tomorrow, we’re seeking the right people to collaborate with and join us in the journey of inspiring, delighting, and connecting people.
Each of our outlets has a life of its own; a unique soul reflecting the colours and layers of Malaysian heritage and individual neighbourhoods’ roots. Bridging Kuala Lumpur’s many cultures and communities, our restobars have become social hubs for people to deepen relationships and experience the best things in life: food, entertainment, and a sense of belonging.
SOUL Society is proudly homegrown and wonderfully intercontinental in flavours and festivities. We’re deeply in touch with what locals want and fully embedded in the neighbourhoods we call home, embodying our “As Good As a Hug” philosophy across all aspects of the business. To expand our horizons and settle into new territories, we’re looking to extend franchise opportunities to more places and people, preferably in bustling cities and countries with an adventurous, full-of-life cultural and social scene.

Baked into SOUL Society’s core and ethos are three values that make us who we are and remind us of why we do what we do in every given moment. These act as a North Star for making decisions, creating our ideal internal and external culture, and aligning our teams and partners to continue growing and delivering world-class experiences.
Connecting communities with experiences to remember. It’s the people that imbue our spaces with soul.
Inclusivity and diversity are at the heart of what we do. A rich myriad of voices, stories, and ways of life should always be seen, heard, and genuinely represented.
An electric atmosphere that’s full of energy and life, continuously inspiring and enriching our customers and our teams.
We saw SOULed OUT’s franchise advert and wanted to escape our mediocre lives. We thought “they must know the secret to success” since SOULed OUT was still going strong after 16 years then (2012). But the secret was first and foremost, hard work, really. Furthermore, SOULed OUT isn’t a cookie cutter franchise. We saw a lot of opportunities to express our ideas through the brand. We also realised the management team is very close knitted and passionate, unlike a large corporation.
The happiest moment, and I dare say this sentiment is shared by most F&B operators, was surviving the pandemic! And keeping most of our team members together. We worked very closely with the founders and management team during these trying times and they were understanding and went beyond their scope of responsibilities.

We love the concept of SOULed OUT as it was suitable for all ages to enjoy. It was the first restaurant of its kind in KK way back in 2016 with its alfresco dining and live music. We are proud to provide work opportunities to Sabahan staff and bring in such a lively concept to KK for Sabahans to enjoy and for family and friends to get together. Making Sabah better is our main motive!
